Leub is an app designed to serve as both a reading management tool for avid readers and a sales and booking platform for small and medium-sized local bookstores.

The project is currently in the iteration and expansion phase, with ongoing development of new features for readers and the creation of a dedicated platform for booksellers.

UX/UI

In today’s fast-paced, digitalized world, staying up to date has become more critical than ever.

Unfortunately, many neighborhood bookstores have either been forced to close or have fallen behind, losing their connection with regular readers and failing to engage newer, tech-savvy generations.

In this digitalized era in which we live, we have to keep up to date at a much faster pace than in previous decades.

Today, the vast majority of neighborhood bookstores have either been forced to close or remain outdated and are losing an important connection with regular readers, as well as a new target audience, the more tech savvy generations.

In this digitalized era in which we live, we have to keep up to date at a much faster pace than in previous decades.

Today, the vast majority of neighborhood bookstores have either been forced to close or remain outdated and are losing an important connection with regular readers, as well as a new target audience, the more technologically savvy generations.

The concept behind this app stems from a desire to bridge the gap between local bookstores and their customers. It provides bookstores with a tool to reach a wider audience, promoting proximity-based purchasing and supporting these small businesses in their struggle against large online retailers.

The app functions as a portal where users can search for nearby bookstores to find or reserve their next book. By encouraging local pickups, it helps reduce unnecessary pollution caused by mass shipping while fostering a culture of supporting local businesses.

For readers, the app not only facilitates purchasing books from these stores but also offers a comprehensive reading management system. Users can set reading goals, create personalized lists, join discussion groups, and connect with friends. In this way, the app serves a dual purpose: supporting bookstores through sales and empowering readers with tools to manage and enhance their reading experience.
